Curriculum
Preschool (Ages 3-5)
Our Preschool classes will be using the Growing in Christ Curriculum from Concordia Publishing House. This curriculum focuses on a Bible lesson and memory verse each week and has supplementary craft, game, mission and snack ideas. Preschool students will meet in the basement for the “Engage” (Opening). Ages 2 & 3 also have their own class to get them used to being at Sunday School.
Elementary (Kindergarten-5th Grade)
Elementary students will be using the Cross Explorations Curriculum from Concordia Publishing House. Cross Explorations has three main components: Engage, Explore & Express.
Engage: Cross Explorations starts with “Engage.” During this time all students take part in an opening activity together, singing and preparing for the rest of their exploration.
Explore: The Explore site divides kids by 2 age levels. Level 1 is for kids in grade kindergarten through 2nd grade, while level 2 covers grades 3-6. This is the Bible Study portion of the curriculum.
Express: During Express, kids apply the Bible learning to their lives as they create, experiment, sing, serve and more. This would be the craft time, experiment time and discussion.
